Recently, in third grade, at the end of an economics unit, students created a marketplace in which they applied for new leadership roles and received a salary-they were paid with "Juans". They learned about money, had a classroom currency design contest, and learned about consumers and producers, supply and demand, scarcity, cost, etc. To culminate the unit, students chose groups and developed a business plan, budget and an advertising idea to kick-off their project. Here are some candid shots along the way.
On Wednesday, the 3rd graders put on their 3rd annual Wax Museum-this project includes researching a topic, note-taking, writing/revising, crafting and creating. Finally, students present their very special person...here are some of the candid shots from the day.
Four Montview 5th graders participated in the Math24 Tournament recently. Thanks to 5th grade teacher Kora Flaming for being our teacher sponsor for Montview. Here are some candid shots of them.
Congratulations to our participants Iram Herrera, Allyson Martinez, Brianna Morales, and Dianna Morales-Dianna finished in the final four of 64 5th grade students.
