Media Center News

This year, we have a full-time media specialist in the specialist schedule. We welcome Jennifer Cronk-Cross (JCC) to our building-Jennifer comes with a vast array of talents, and is a exceptional addition to our teaching staff. Students now go to the media for a special, much like Music, PE, Art, and Technology.

We are excited for the students and what they will learn during the media special!

Our Zen area has expanded to allow small groups of students to meet with assisting staff members for reading/literacy needs.

  • Just some reminders to students: Kindergarten can check out 1 book, 1st-5th grade can check out 3 items. If library materials aren't returned, a user's rights are paused until the issue is resolved. If books are lost, fines are assessed based on the cost to replace the material lost. Fines are paid for in the media center w/ cash only.
  • If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact either Jennifer Cross@303-364-8549, ext 23205 during school hours.
  • a great big thank you to the Home Depot--they provided paint sticks which students use when marking book locations on the shelves.

Please visit and support your local public libraries! The Martin Luther King Jr.branch is located at 9898 East Colfax Avenue
