In schools around the country and here in Colorado, kids are falling behind on their reading. Now, Aurora Public Schools has a new tool that's helping change that. Montview was chosen last year to pilot a program called Paloma, a tool designed to get some of the youngest students excited to read, even helping put them in their own stories.
One third grade student at Montview was so inspired using Paloma that he read 100 books over Summer Break.
